The Accounts Receivable Specialist supports the financial integrity of Berner Food & Beverage by managing the timely and accurate processing of receivables, customer payments, and account reconciliations. This role ensures high-quality accounting practices, supports strong customer relationships through effective communication and issue resolution, and contributes to the accuracy of monthly financial reporting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Apply and post customer payments daily, verifying application accuracy and resolving discrepancies promptly.

· Prepare, process, and distribute customer invoices and credit memos, including electronic data interchange (EDI) invoice submissions.

· Review and adjust customer accounts as needed, maintaining up-to-date and accurate account records.

· Prepare, distribute, and reconcile monthly customer statements; follow up with customers regarding outstanding balances.

· Research, investigate, and resolve customer billing inquiries and discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.

· Participate in the monthly Accounts Receivable close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting duties as assigned.

· Assist with special accounting projects and process improvements as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Requirements:

· Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and data integrity.

· Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative accounting team.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with internal departments, vendors, and customers.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; experience with ERP systems and EDI processing preferred.

· Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and mathematical accuracy.

· Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining productivity and meeting deadlines.

Education and Experience:

· Associate degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field; or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.

· One or more years of related experience in accounts receivable or general accounting preferred.

· Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Pay Range: $47000.00-55,000.00 - Salary (based on experience)
