PRN Imaging Technologist Assistant

Under the direction of the Director of Imaging, the Technologist Assistant follows radiation safety rules while performing a variety of duties including clerical, technical and patient related functions. The Technologist Assistant is responsible to assist members of the patient care team by providing a broad range of healthcare services such as checking in patients, exam review, preparing the patient for the exam, patient education, assisting with exams and procedures and transporting patients. The assistant is trained in a wide variety of radiographic equipment, computer programs and software.

Knowledge of basic anatomy preferred.

Knowledge of sterile techniques, universal precautions, OSHA standards and personal radiation protection practices preferred.

Physical ability to lift and position patients and assist with patient transfers utilizing beds or stretchers

High School Diploma or GED

Associates Degree preferred

BLS certified
