Teacher of the Visually Impaired

GHR Education is actively seeking a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) for an immediate opening in Romeoville, IL .

This is a highly impactful and specialized role supporting students from early childhood through transition age in a collaborative, student-centered school environment. We are looking for a dedicated TVI who is passionate about helping students with visual impairments build independence, access curriculum, and thrive both academically and in daily life skills.

Teacher of the Visually Impaired – Position Details:

• Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday (school day hours)
• Location: Romeoville, IL (school-based, in-person)
• Start Date: ASAP through May 22, 2026
• Caseload: Pre-K through transition-age students
• Pay: $59/hr (w2 employer, weekly pay)
• Benefits (W2): Health, vision, dental, 401(k)

Requirements:

• Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with endorsement as Teacher of Students Who Are Blind or Visually Impaired (required)
• Prior TVI experience strongly preferred
