Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A contract opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist specializing in school settings, supporting elementary-aged students. This position involves providing therapeutic services designed to enhance students' functional abilities and participation in the school environment.

Location: Naperville, IL Setting: Elementary School Duration: Contract covering a maternity leave, with strong potential to extend through the full school year

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students' motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities related to school activities
• Develop and implement individualized intervention plans tailored to each student's needs
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational staff to integrate therapeutic strategies into the classroom
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve educational goals
• Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with school and regulatory standards

Qualifications:

• Valid Occupational Therapy licensure appropriate for Illinois
• Experience working with elementary-aged students in a school or similar educational setting
• Ability to adapt intervention techniques to meet a diverse range of student needs
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams
• Knowledge of current best practices in school-based occupational therapy
