CRIS Nutrition Assistant (20 hours per week)

Overview: This position will be responsible for maintaining clerical functions as necessary within the SAMS (Senior Adult Meal Services) Program. These functions include but not limited to: typing, filing, recording and printing reports. Must be able to communicate clearly orally and in writing with persons with hearing and/or speech impediments both face to face and on the telephone. Must be able to assist by serving meals at any of the SRIS meal sites as well as prepare and deliver any Home Delivered Meal to those clients as the need arises because of staff sickness, vacations or shortages and other duties as assigned Qualifications:

Certifications: Driver's License - Illinois Secretary of State (ILSOS); Proof of Auto Insurance and Food Handler Training within 30 days

Responsibilities: Assists with the daily operation of the Meals on Wheels and Congregate Meal Programs, including but not limited to, meal reservations, compliance with health codes, menu planning, record keeping, and non-responses as neededCompletes appropriate record keeping, including initial referrals for CRIS Home Delivered, and other paperwork as requested by the Director of Nutrition.Assists with Nutrition Education Programs and keep a record of the Congregate Meal Program participants.Makes appropriate referrals to other programs within CRIS and/or the community.Assists in Recruitment of Volunteers for the Nutrition Program.Helps maintain Nutrition client database which includes excel spreadsheets, funder databases, and the agency member-base and reconcile information monthly with Director of Nutrition.Assists in planning, promotion, and facilitation of activities sponsored by CRIS which may include activities at the CRIS Center - attending all meetings necessary for the operation of the program Carle Health Company Overview:

Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is $15per hour - $24.32per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
