Compensation

• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2000 - $2050 per week

Illinois Nursing Job Details

• Location: Urbana, IL 61801 (Illinois nursing jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: Medical-Surgical, Oncology, Orthopedic, Advanced Care, ICU
• Assignment Duration: 13-week travel nursing contract (September 22, 2025 – December 20, 2025)
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
• Employment Type: Locum tenens, travel nurse position

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg RN experience
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN) required; BSN preferred
• Active Illinois Registered Nurse license in good standing
• BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
• Trauma 1 nursing experience
• EPIC EMR proficiency

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care and nursing duties specific to Medical-Surgical and specialty units
• Implement nursing procedures and clinical best practices
• Maintain accurate documentation of all nursing care
• Conduct initial patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Modify care plans and nursing interventions as needed
• Float between Med/Surg, Oncology, Orthopedic, Advanced Care, and ICU units
• Precept new staff and participate in Unit Nurse Leader Training
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Promote patient and employee safety by identifying and addressing safety hazards
• Communicate effectively and provide constructive feedback to colleagues
