Job Title: Forklift Operator $18 an hour

6am-2:30pm

East Moline, Illinois

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Forklift Operator to join our Shipping & Receiving team in East Moline, IL. This position is heavily focused on safe, accurate, and efficient forklift operation , supporting daily warehouse functions such as material movement, bin replenishment, and inventory flow. This is a 1st‑shift role working within a fast‑paced industrial environment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Operate sit‑down forklifts to move, load, unload, and stage materials throughout the warehouse.
• Replenish pick locations by transporting product from overstock storage using forklift equipment.
• Stock inbound freight directly into correct bin or racking locations.
• Assist order pullers by maneuvering large or heavy items using a forklift.
• Use RF scanners to track product movement and ensure inventory accuracy.
• Pull, transport, and stage coil orders as needed, following proper load‑handling procedures.
• Inspect and perform basic maintenance checks on forklifts (fluids, forks, safety equipment).
• Follow forklift safety protocols including proper speed, visibility, and load stability practices.
• Maintain a clean and hazard‑free workspace , reporting unsafe conditions immediately.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience handling large, bulky, or heavy materials , including coils.
• Experience in production, logistics, or high‑volume distribution environments.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and safety.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of East Moline, IL.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in East Moline,IL.
