IT Specialist / Network Support

IT Specialist / Network Support, Northbrook, IL

We are looking for an IT Specialist / Network Support as we are continuously growing and increasing our need for IT Support. We are currently seeking an individual to provide in-house desktop support, manage hardware and aid in the installation and troubleshooting of software.

Responsibilities:

– Setup desktops and laptops with Windows operating systems, anti-virus software, printers, scanners and server access.
– Configure Microsoft products, including users in Active Directory.
– Support Office 365 apps.
– Install software and perform tests on computer equipment and programs.
– Maintain other networked hardware such as tablets, tv’s, projectors, etc.
– Diagnose hardware and software issues.
– Solve technical and applications problems.
– Monitor computer processing systems.
– Basic configuration of DNS and webhosting.
– Document detailed notes and instructions using a centralized repository.
– Install, troubleshoot, manage hardware and software for VoIP phones.

Qualifications:

– Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting Windows operating systems.
– Experience installing many types of software programs.
– Familiarity with setting up, configuring, and deploying firewall solutions.
– Basic knowledge of Linux operating systems.
– Basic knowledge of Mac operating systems.
– Efficient verbal and written communication of technical information.
– Excellence in problem solving and analysis.
– Ability to organize, prioritize and multitask.
– CompTIA A+ Certification.
